WINHITECH Wins “Photovoltaic Energy Cup. Most Influential Enterprise of PV Module” Award

“On December 25th, 2024, the 12th PV Industry Award Ceremony and the New Year's Sharing Meeting hosted by Sobi PV Network was held in Suzhou, China. As one of the most highly regarded industry selection activities in the PV industry, the “Light Energy Cup” has become the “year-end Oscar” of China's photovoltaic storage industry with its authority and influence. Every year, the PV Cup records the innovation and breakthrough of the industry and witnesses the power of benchmarking. Zhejiang WINHITECH New Energy Co., Ltd (WINIHITECH for short) won the “Most Influential Photovoltaic Module Enterprises” award by virtue of its outstanding contribution in the field of HJT modules and 0BB technology.

 

Director Chen Guoqing was invited to attend the event and delivered a speech titled “High-efficiency Heterojunction Products Empower Offshore PV Power Plant Development”. He pointed out that as a new technology route, the cost of heterojunction products has been a major concern in the industrialization process, and WINHITECH focuses on cost reduction from both the cell side and the module side, and introduces a variety of technological solutions to improve efficiency. By adopting double-sided microcrystalline process, combined with film layer optimization and grid line design, WINHITECH has increased the tested efficiency of heterojunction cells to 26%, and the power of 210-size large-format modules has been stabilized at 715W, with the future goal of advancing the efficiency to 26.8%. In terms of cost reduction, WINHITECH provides new technology solutions for silicon wafers, pastes and targets, and targeted designs in offshore PV scenario solutions. For example, in response to the high salt fog environment, Runhai Solar has strengthened the design of salt fog resistance by applying double-layer coated glass with special requirements on its denseness to meet the offshore PV application scenarios. After comparison tests, the high densification double-coated glass performs well in offshore PV power plants. Enhanced program design for the characteristics of strong wind and waves at sea, WINHITECH matched windproof bolt installation to effectively overcome the tearing problem. At the same time, for the characteristics of high humidity, the junction box design is optimized, all of them adopt IP68 protection level, and the terminals are treated with dust plugs and cold-shrinkage tubes, which provide strong protection and support for the construction of offshore PV power stations.
